At the end of 2020, researchers from Cornell and Purdue universities created the "Caucasus Heritage Watch" (Caucasus Heritage Watch: https://caucasusheritage.cornell.edu/) platform, where with the help of satellite imagery, they monitor and document the condition of cultural heritage under the control of Azerbaijan. The activities of the team and the website have gained wide international recognition. On July 28, 2022, in the round hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the RA (Baghramyan 24), the founders of the project, archaeologists Lori Khachadurian and Adam Smith presented the process of their research initiative and the activity of website to the Armenian academic community.
