On the Path to Reviving Artsakh’s Intangible Heritage and Theatrical Traditions

The reborn Stepanakert Vahram Papazyan Armenian Dramatic Theatre will present its first production on November 12 at the Yerevan Theatre for Young Audiences (3 Moskovyan St.). The performance is titled “The Tale of Artsakh Love,” written in the Artsakh dialect by Alexander Manasyan. It was also the theatre’s last production in Stepanakert before the 44-day war.

The theatre’s return has been made possible through the cooperation of the DIALOG organization and the Union of Theatrical Figures of Armenia. This initiative not only marks a new chapter for Artsakh theatre, but also offers audiences in the capital a chance to re-experience the warmth of Artsakh culture and its simple, deeply human spirit.
