Conference on “Protection and Access to Cultural Property in Wartime” in Münster

From April 4-6 of this year, a conference took place at the University of Münster in Germany on the topic of "Protection and access to cultural property in wartime." The conference delved into philosophical and moral considerations surrounding the legacies of wartime. A particular focus of discussion was the protection of cultural heritage during the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Russian-Ukrainian conflicts. A dedicated section was allocated to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, where Hamlet Petrosyan presented his reports: "Issues of protection of cultural heritage during the war: the experience of the monumentwatch.org academic platform" and "The digitization of cultural heritage and the phenomenon of Jugha khachkars." Anush Safaryan also presented her report titled "The Border, the Sign, and the Monument in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict."
