It is situated on the grounds of Skhtorashen Village in the Martuni Region, close to the well-known plane tree (or tnjri, which is the Artsakh dialect for "plane tree") (Fig. 1).

Historical overview
On the spring memorial wall, the construction inscription has been retained. It says “Ter Yovhannes Kisibekients, Nerses Musaelian, and Manas Gasparian are credited with creating this spring” (Fig. 2).

The spring was constructed in 1898, according to the testimony of local elders (Kisibekyan 2011, 83).
Architectural-compositional examination
It was constructed using a mortar and local semi-finished white limestone. The bottom portion of the facade wall and the nave are polished. It has three openings. The spring measures 16 meters in length and 2 meters in height.
The condition before, during, and after the war
During military operations, the spring remained undamaged.
